About Us

Caperton Candle Company is a small candlemaking firm located in the north central Ozarks of Arkansas. Let no one mislead you, we are the originators of the "chunk candle" (a clunky sounding name for a beautiful candle) in its present state. All processes are done by hand here in our shop, from pouring and cutting "chunks", to chunking and pouring candles, to finishing and leveling and finally packing and shipping.

After 20 years on the craft circuit, selling direct to customers, Linda established Caperton Candle Company in 1993. Mostly a wholesale manufacturing operation, these web pages are your opportunity to purchase directly from the company. We have dealers throughout the country, and if you would like a listing of retailers in your area, we will be happy to supply it. Buying locally would save you shipping and handling charges. These pages are particularly for those of you with no retailer in your area.

We have grown slowly and steadily since 1993, mostly by word of mouth. Our candles are high quality, long-burning and wonderfully scented. Simply among the best, if not THE best on the market. Order one of our candles, burn it, and you’ll be our customer for life - at least that was our experience on the craft circuit. We take pride in providing a great product at a reasonable price, people recognize it and come back for more.

Dealers are welcome to inquire about our wholesale prices. A valid tax identification number must be submitted with inquiry. We are extremely protective of our wholesale clients, limiting shops within an area, and selling to no one in direct competition with an existing client.
